Re: Interested in West Indian Avocado Seeds

I wonder if the UCANR people at Irvine would share with you? Julie Frink was talking about that at one of her presentations. I'll bet they have all kinds of different seed there.

How are your Poms growing? We are picking what we think is "Ambrosia" and another that may be a "Wonderful" sport. Making some great juice. Let us know how your Poms from the plant sale are growing. My Eversweet, Purple Heart, Parfianka are looking like they are fine in their new 2 gallon pots, may ...

Passionfruit

What varieties are you growing? I just picked up some small Maricuya from Cal Poly Pomona. I am hoping to plant them out soon, near the Frederick plants that are booming with flowers and fruit right now. I also picked up a Yellow from another source. Conflicting information about how cold hardy it i...

Thank You Nathan Lou

Our trees have grown tremendously and next year if we can save them from the gophers we may have a large enough a...

Re: What's your favorite Avocado Variety?

Ben that is interesting, I have now met three people who don't like avocados. All men, I wonder if it has to do with what you grew up with or maybe there is a genetic preference for foods depending upon how well you can digest them,it would be an interesting study. We are right now eating some Hass ...

2019 Grape Crops

:) What varieties grew well for you? What finally produced fruit? I seem to have a three year window for fruit development here, but we had some fantastic blueberry grapes this year and were able to sell a crop locally. The borers or sharpshooters, not sure which, took out 4 of the 8 Blueberry plant...

Re: What is your mango tree doing right now?

Wow! :D Sounds like the mangos at Mike's are happy with the conditions! The three year old Keitts are doing great here. We should maybe do some research on where they are doing well and what changes we could make to soil, watering, fertilizer, exposure etc to improve the trees that are not doing so ...
